Prices are quoted per traveller when two people share one cabin and one hotel room — the standard way cruise journeys are priced worldwide. For odd-numbered parties, children or larger groups, a human confirms your exact all-in price within 24 hours BEFORE any payment is taken — and once confirmed, that price is locked and never increases.
Do children travel at a reduced fare?
Yes — child fares depend on age and bedding arrangement, so we confirm them individually. Add children in the booking form and your concierge sends the exact family price within 24 hours, before any payment is due. Connecting cabins and family rooms are arranged on request.
Is everything really included? What isn’t?
Every journey lists its inclusions and exclusions in black and white — nothing hidden. In general: your cruise with stated meals, hotels with breakfast, listed transfers, the Dragon Pearl Cave show, taxes and port fees are included. International flights, visas, beverages, spa treatments, kayaking and activities marked “payable locally” are not.
How do I pay, and is it secure?
You can pay in full online — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, UnionPay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay+, WeChat Pay, UPI and bank transfer are all accepted, charged in USD with your bank converting at its standard rate. Why should I pay in full now instead of a deposit?
Full payment locks today’s price and your exact cabin — and unlocks Book-Direct Privileges: a complimentary cabin-category upgrade when available at check-in, one free date change up to 30 days before departure, and priority dinner seating. A 20% deposit holds your booking too, but privileges apply to fully-paid journeys only.
What if my plans change? What is the cancellation policy?
In plain words, shown again at checkout before you pay: one free date change up to 30 days before departure; cancel 30+ days out — full refund as travel credit or a free rebooking; 15–29 days — 50% retained; within 14 days — non-refundable. If the port authority suspends sailing due to weather, you always choose a full refund or a free rebooking.
Can you cater to dietary requirements?
Yes. The India Special journey offers Indian, vegetarian and Jain menus on board on request (small surcharge). For other requirements — vegetarian, allergies, and more — tell your concierge at booking and our chefs will do their very best.
Do I need a visa for Vietnam?
Many nationalities enjoy visa exemption, and most others can apply for Vietnam’s e-visa online in minutes. Your concierge will point you to the official application for your nationality — we recommend arranging it before you fly.
When is the best time to cruise Halong Bay?
The bay is beautiful year-round: October–April brings cool, clear sailing weather (our busiest season — book 6–10 weeks ahead), while May–September offers lush green karsts and the best value.
