They’ll help ensure that you and your loved ones enjoy a safe and unforgettable journey.
1. Prepare Before You Sail
• Bring the necessary documents for check-in:
– National ID card or passport for adults
– Certified copy of birth certificate for children
• Stay in touch with our staff to receive important updates about your cruise itinerary.
• Please note that all our cruises operate with port authority approval, based on three daily weather forecasts. In certain cases, the trip may be delayed or cancelled to ensure the highest level of safety. If any changes occur, we will inform you as soon as possible.
2. Stay Safe Onboard and During Onshore Excursions
Ambassador Cruise is fully equipped with modern safety measures to ensure a smooth and secure journey. Follow these simple yet essential tips to make the most of your cruise experience with peace of mind.
2.1 Comfortable & Secure Cabins
• Lock your cabin door, including the balcony door, especially at night or whenever you are not in the room.
• If you wish to enjoy some privacy, please hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign outside your cabin.
• For housekeeping service, kindly hang the “Please Make Up My Room” sign, our housekeeping staff will gladly tidy up your room during dinner time.
• Store important belongings in the safe box. Please note that Ambassador Cruise cannot be held responsible for any personal items lost during the trip.
2.2 Safety Map & Emergency Instructions
• Emergency evacuation maps are clearly displayed in every cabin, along corridors, stairways, and all public areas on board. These maps help you understand the layout of Ambassador Cruise and identify key areas, including locations of emergency equipment and rescue stations.
• Pay attention to the “Exit” signs placed throughout the ship, these guide you quickly to the nearest assembly point in case of an emergency.
2.3 Life Jackets
• Life jackets, along with a safety hammer and flashlight, are provided in every cabin. If you require additional life jackets for children, please contact the Reception Desk. Extra life jackets are also available at designated assembly areas such as the Reception on the first deck, the restaurant, and the sundeck.
• When wearing a life jacket, ensure that all buckles are fastened and the straps are securely tightened to fit your body. Each jacket is equipped with a whistle to signal for help in case of emergency.
• Life jackets are also available on all speedboats used for excursions. Please remember to wear them properly during all transfers to and from sightseeing destinations.
2.4 In Case of Emergency
• In the event of an emergency, please do not use elevators or the outdoor swimming pool.
• Our crew members will be stationed along the corridors to guide you to the designated assembly points located at the Reception area and the sundeck.
• Once guided by the crew, guests may proceed to use the lifeboats, lifebuoys placed along the ship's railings, or floating rescue devices stored on the sundeck roof.
• Emergency tools such as hammers and flashlights are also available in each cabin for escape if necessary. Please refrain from using hammers to damage ship property unless in a real emergency.
2.5 Smoking Areas & Fire Safety
• On Ambassador Cruise, smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas, including the use of e-cigarettes.
• Smoke detectors are installed in every cabin and public spaces such as the restaurant, Piano Lounge, reception area, and spa.
• Guests who wish to smoke are kindly asked to use ashtrays provided on each cabin’s private balcony or on the two sundeck levels.
Fire Extinguisher Instructions
Fire extinguishers are placed inside cabins and throughout public areas. In case of fire, please follow these four steps:
• Step 1: Aim the extinguisher nozzle at the base of the flames.
• Step 2: Pull the pin and firmly press the handle to release the extinguishing agent.
• Step 3: Sweep the nozzle from side to side, focusing on the fire’s base.
• Step 4: Continue spraying until the fire is completely out.
